On Saturday, September 27, we had the chance to serve at Minnie’s Food Pantry, where we combined knowledge with action. We started with an interactive session about nutrition and mental health with other volunteers. It was interesting to talk about a variety of perspectives, from adults and kids, who care about serving nutritious food to other families. Then, we joined in preparing breakfast boxes for families in need.
It was a reminder that service is more than packing boxes. It’s about offering nourishment, dignity, and care to our fellow residents. By engaging with volunteers and connecting with families, we saw firsthand how knowledge and compassion together can make a lasting difference in our community.
