The Mindful Bites community was fortunate to volunteer at the Big Pack Frisco event hosted by Feed My Starving Children at Stonebriar Church. The event brought together volunteers from all over Dallas with a clear goal to provide 495,000 meals for children facing food insecurity around the world. We had about 25–30 members from Mindful Bites there, and we volunteered for about 2.5 hours.
The atmosphere was full of energy and purpose, with hundreds of volunteers determined to help. When we heard how these meals support children in crisis, the work felt even more meaningful. It was powerful to realize that a few hours of teamwork could mean thousands of meals for children.
For Mindful Bites, this event was a reminder of why community involvement matters. Stepping outside our usual routine and contributing to a cause bigger than ourselves brought our team closer together and gave us a new sense of purpose and determination. It was amazing to see how naturally people came together to help!
Overall, the Big Pack Frisco event was a very memorable experience for the Mindful Bites community. We are extremely thankful to be given the opportunity to make more of a difference! We hope to come back soon!
